got this usb where I had student's work to print and some pictures from family learning workshop with kiddies painted faces. Anyway, I used the USB on the HP printer we have so they could frame their little faces and the stupid printer did something. Now all my files seems to have been changed into 1 single file. Is there anyway I can retrieve the original files?

Some quick hunting around the web shows that this issue is not particularly rare, but does seem to leave your corrupted data in an unrecoverable situation. sad.gif

The consensus is that if you want to use that USB stick again, you should reformat it. Sorry.
