Hello you guys, when I took the geek test, I managed to achieve just over 52% and that makes me a 'Super Geek'! I am proud of this for two reasons, 1: I am glad to be a geek and 2: I beat Dash Rendar! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif tongue.gif Can anyone HONESTLY do better???

Yes, it's true. sad.gif

I scored 35.7, making me a Major Geek. I just can't understand it... I have my own lightsaber. I wrote my own language at school. Not only do I know about the Odd-Even rule of Star Trek, but I even wrote about it on my website. And yes, I own the domain. I've programmed calculators at school and I hate branded clothing. (Gimmick, gimmick.) I've hosted LAN parties, have my own computer network. I've read Douglas Adams, Hawking and even HP Lovecraft. (Now not many people can say that!)

I BELIEVE IN THE FORCE.

In fact, I've ticked just about every box there is in that test!

Yet Mortis didn't only beat me... He absolutely stomped on my score.

This makes him a geek of such monolithic proportions that it's hard to imagine him dating anything other than his computer. (Although he alledgedly has a girlfriend. Her name is probably HALette 9001.)

I'm just bitter. mad.gif

Come on you lot. Confess your scores.

Although I doubt there's anyone in this Universe that can stand up to might of Geeky Mortis!

BTW, in case you don't know what we're talking about, check out the Geek Test.

Pretty impressive. I can see it now...

Romantic glow from the larva lamps, champagne glasses filled to the brim with milk and Hitch Hikers Guide coming from the Laser Disc player. smile.gif

Come on you lot... Don't be afraid to tell us yer scores.

And why has this forum suddenly died in the last few days? I thought it was going pretty well.

My wife sadly ain't a geek - she's a poser, just 5%

I, on the otherhand cannot match neither Mortis nor Dash, with a score of ... 32.54438% (thought the decimal places were important there). So, I'm a Total Geek.

When we did this months back, I'm sure you said you scored in the 20s! Has the test changed then? Maybe I should have another go.

Hang on... Repeating the test just to get a better score sounds like a really geeky thing to do. Oh yeah, that's the whole point! biggrin.gif

Bloody hell, it has changed!!

I scored, 43.2%. Well, for theMaster, it was actually 43.19527%. However, I'm still ranked MAJOR GEEK, so I guess they recalibrated their scale or something! And I still didn't come close to Mortis, who may well be still on 'old-scheme' and therefore probably scores in the 60s now...

I remember being so proud of some of those geeky skills at school. For example, when I was about 11, I used to reel off the first 50 elements of the Periodic Table from memory. Why? Some guy told me it would impress the girls. Git. (That guy ruined my entire school social life. And then I became a biochemist. And then a software developer. How's that for a geek trail?)

I wonder what happens if you tick the box "I own... A real lightsaber", as opposed to my toy one? I don't suppose someone (aliens?) come from space and whisk you off to train you in the Force so you can save the galaxy... Much like in The Last Starfighter. smile.gif

Sorry, have to get in as many Geek references as possible that pertain to that test!

Oh yeah... Almost forgot. Just before I came online tonight, I watched Transformers the Movie, on DVD!

(For those of you who dont' understand my references to "Me Grimlock" in other threads... You might want to persue this Transfers thing further.)

And fancy a test asking me if I ever quote Yoda semi-seriously? Never would...

I have a theory...

Once you've taken the geek test two or three times (and we know you have!), is it not possible that you alter your lifestyle and strive in every way to harmonise with the questions of the test?

Thus, the Geek Test becomes your Guiding Path.

Well, I'm sure that's the way it is for true geeks. Perhaps not most of the world though, sadly.

Indeed. And if the Geek Test was being clever, it might even record how many times you've visited and increase your geek rating accordingly. Might give it another go myself...

Hey guys, the Geek Test has evolved again!

Lots of geeky new questions. My score is 43.59%, so hasn't really changed at all since the last iteration. Still just short of Super Geek.
